Fall is everywhere now. The fog is rising, the days are definitely shortened, and we might think a bit too much of home and a nice fireplace. Wait, you cannot keep locking yourself while there is so any events coming forward! Here is the selection Toute la Culture has picked up for you.

DANSE

For its second edition, le Festival Kalypso will set in several places of Ile de France from 12th to 15th November. Thirty danse companies are expected. Not only will there be danse, but also an exhibition called “Street is Art” and many events such as the Battle Kalypso. Booking online.

THEATRE

Between the 14th and the 19th, the Next Festival takes place in many European cities. Lille, Brussel, Amsterdam and German locations will host this Festival of Performing Arts. To know  more about the detailed programme and where to go, click here.

MUSIC

After 27 years of existence, the not so French Les Inrocks Phillips Festival has decided to spread out its musical wave to London. The first concert is indeed planned in the London Scala, on November, 11. Then, it will go back to Paris until the 16th before pursuing its way towards France for one week. Amongst the musicians, there will be Lykke Li (Lucky us!), Damon AlbarnThe ShoesPalma VioletsBaxter Dury, et The Jesus And Mary Chain (for the first time in Europe). After last year success, the Festival How to love is back with a new bench of fresh artists. From the 12th to the 15th, you will be able to attend a great average of shows, concerts and workshops in the aquatic location of le Petit Bain. Singers such as Winter Family or Dirty Beaches will show up. The famous Publication House, Actes Sud BD, is also associated with the Festival so you will meet its comic’s authors. Transient Festival is the first festival of Digital Art in France. From the 14th to the 16th November, a few specialists of Digital Music will perform at Mains d’oeuvres in Paris.  In addition, an exhibition about the relationship between Multimedia and Computer Arts and New Technologies will be set. Novembre, 13 at le Musée d’Orsay: the musical piece Banquet Céleste will open the “Back to Bach” series of concerts. This event belongs to the « A la manière de…hommages, pastiches, réinventions » 2014-2015 Season of the Museum. Free access to the conference before the concert (in French) at 7.15 pm. AUCTION

For the first time in twenty years, Man Ray is for sale. Soceby’s is auctioning famous American artist’s works on Saturday, 15. Amonst them, Self-Portaits and portrait of celebrities in the Dada milieu will be found. Quite an event.
